Lawyers Making a Difference

Ohio State Bar Foundation Fellows embody the spirit of service. OSBF Fellows continue to find ways to give back beyond their class experience and projects, working with the community to uplift and create meaningful change in Ohio. Volunteer opportunities listed below offer fulfilling and rewarding experiences.

OSBF Fellows Volunteer Opportunity

May 13 from 10:00am - 2:00pm

MAKE-A-DAY Foundation

After wonderful volunteer outings in Toledo, Dayton, and Cleveland, we are excited to share another volunteer opportunity for OSBF Fellows to give back in Columbus!

Details

We invite Fellows to join OSBF Grantee Make-A-Day (MAD) to volunteer at a block-party-styled event aimed at empowering members of the unhoused and low-income communities.

MAD is looking for attorneys to volunteer with the "Ask a Lawyer" table, where guests are able to chat about general questions regarding their needs.

Additionally, they are looking for general help with set-up/tear-down, food servers within the event grounds and friendship builders (greeters, wayfinding, dining with clients).

This event promises to be a fulfilling and rewarding experience, and we encourage Fellows in the Central, OH region and beyond to participate as a general volunteer and/or attorney at the "Ask-A-Lawyer" table.

The full program runs from 11:00am - 2:00pm.

Volunteer shifts are between 10:30am -12:30pm, 12:30pm - 2:30pm, or the whole event, 10:30am - 2:30pm, and include set-up and/or tear down.
